Kindred 2020 Conference
Kindred 2020 was a planned conference where over 2,000 corporate, nonprofit, and cultural leaders were meant to gather to take action, transform, and grow their businesses and relationships to accelerate purpose-led transformation. The conference was scheduled to be at the San Diego Convention Center in May 2020 and had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the Programming Manager, I recruited & onboarded speakers. I also conducted topical research (sustainability, economics and politics, etc.) to identify key session themes and speakers and drafted session abstracts and speaker proposals.
I drafted UN-leaning language & programming and made speaker invitations to UN Goodwill Ambassadors for our UN75 partnership to encourage commitments and actions from business leaders and their organizations. I also owned the Climate x Capital track at the conference, which had the theme of accelerating solutions, growth, collaboration to address the climate crisis for a venture capital/private equity/banking audience.
