Regional Member Events

The American Sustainable Business Network (f/k/a Social Venture Circle, f/k/a Social Venture Network) is a membership organization, with most members based in the United States. ASBN’s members find a lot of value in face-to-face gathering, so regional member events are an important part of the annual events calendar for them to have opportunities to meet fellow local members outside of the large annual conference and policy summit.

Since restarting regional member events in 2022, I have been responsible for the Event Positioning; Planning; Creating and Managing Budgets; Securing venues, vendors, volunteers; Contract negotiation; Program & agenda creation; Recruiting & onboarding speakers; Creating run-of-shows; Décor; Directing A/V; Managing event supply inventory; Organizing event staff & volunteers pre and during event; Promotional Communications; Ticketing strategy; On-Site Coordination; Post-event reporting.

I have planned regional member events where ASBN has the highest concentration of members: San Francisco, Washington DC, New York City, Philadelphia, and Vermont.

The event formats have varied from panel discussion, cocktail party, happy hour, and networking event.
